Can i give my bottle baby goat,
water out of the bottle as well as milk obvesily not out of the same bottle but in seperate bottles can i give water and milk out of a bottle.
By the way the goat is an orphan
and if i can give it water at what age can i start giving it water
The milk formula should have all the water the baby goat needs. If you haven't already, I would put it on formula made specifically for goats. It provides them with all the nutrition they need. Weaning time for a baby goat really depends on the goat. I don't know how old your goat is but when it is a few weeks old I would start to offer it small amounts of hay and grain. At first they might not want any because they have no idea what it is and will still need milk for nourishment, but after a few weeks or so you will see the goat start to nibble on the food. Around this time I would also put a water bucket in the stall so the goat can eventually start to drink water by itself. Eventually they will start to eat more and more each week. I wouldn't start to give the goat water in the bottle instead of milk until it is well started on eating hay and grain. Just make sure the water isn't cold water. It will make the goat sick. Giving a baby goat water in a bottle is only needed to keep the goat hydrated if it is eating hay and grain and hasn't started drinking out of the bucket of water yet. After a while the goat will start to drink water by itself out of the bucket and you won't need to bottle feed it anymore. I hope this helped and I hope you have fun raising your goat.
