what dummy/pacifier would you recommend? plus another question?
my son is almost 10 months old. never had a dummy. he is breastfed. I have always let him fall asleep on the breast, but i would like to start weaning him when he turns 1 as i have another baby due in november and would like him fully weaned by then. I have tried other methods to try and get him to fall asleep but nothing works, he also wont soothe himself which makes things very hard. So im trying a dummy. He can use the tommee tippee closer to nature bottles and i was hoping they made a dummy in the same sort of shape but i couldnt find one. I bought him a NUK one today and he isnt too fond of it, he will suck/chew on it when he is awake but when i am trying to get it to sleep he starts crying as soon as i try but it in his mouth. he also doesnt like the shield part of it digging into his face, so one that has the shield part of it that curves away from the face would be good too.
Oh and totally unrelated. Would a 5lb 8oz baby fit premature clothes or newborn?
These are the only brand my daughter likes. They're supposedly made to simulate the breast, so I used it when we were supplementing without any issues. She got a NUK too and doesn't like it, never did.
They redid the packaging though now. They're still the same but the outer shell part is opaque... sort of a weird pea-green. I think it will make it easier to clean.
I looked at the Tommee tippee and the nipple looks very similar to her pacifier. You might be able to see it in the second link better than in the first. The third link is even larger. It's not the typical pacifier shape at all, it doesn't have a 'nub'. And the shield goes away from the face, it's not the normal shield.
