There are a few effective ways to lower your cholesterol. Most of these means are related to the food that you eat and the dynamic activities that you need to do. They are all practical that you do not even think that you are being cut off from your normal life. Cholesterols are important in producing the hormones that your body need. But since there are two types of cholesterol that your body produces, you need to know which one to raise its level and which one to reduce. The low-density lipoprotein or LDL is called the "bad" cholesterol because if there are too many of it, then it forms a plaque on your artery wall thus causing high blood pressure. The high-density lipoprotein or HDL is called the "good" cholesterol because it removes the excess LDL in the veins and brings them back to the liver to reprocess it.
When you have high HDL and low LDL then that is good news, though LDL brings the cholesterol to your heart, you do not need more that enough of it because it simply clogs the arteries. You need more HDL so that it can remove the LDL from the blood stream. How to do it? As mentioned earlier, you will do some practical steps.
First, change your eating habit. For sure you have figured out that your food mainly contributes to the high production of LDL. For sure your doctor recommended that you eat more dietary fiber. There are so many fruits and vegetables that contain this nutrient.
