sore subject How do I make my pet happy?

I hate mentioning this problem because it is embarassing but I hope you can help. There are days that I can barely get to the john or to get my dogie to his john, I do these tasks and have to go back to bed. My poor dogie wants to play but I just am not able to. Do you have any suggestions on what can entertain him? He is so wonderful. On my bad days, he just sleeps too.

I know what you are going through. I have Fibro and there are some days that I just can't function nor can I walk. So, my three are at their own resources. I did install a doggie door and that has helped a bunch, I don't have to get up to let them out. I'm thinking you must live in an apartment or something because you have to take him out, is that correct? I have a friend that has paper trained her dog for the days that she can't take him out. It works for her, of course the clean up sometimes is harder than trying to get to the john.
Mine will sleep all day with me on the days I can't function and are always at my side when things go wrong or right for that matter.
Have you thought about getting your pup another pup to play with. Sometimes that breaks up the boredom. If that isn't possible, look in the stores for a treat tumbler, that should keep your pup entertained for hours. Get a remote control car, those are the best, I have a pup that is crazy about hers and even when I don't feel like running it she will push it all over the place. I have a laser pointer that I use to let them run and chase it. It doesn't take much energy, but if they can see it watch out, you are in for a treat...we really love the look when we pull it out, they start yipping and biting at it, they are ready.
Take care of yourself, and remember that the pup is taking care of you also.
Enjoy!
