Who said you have to glug down eight glasses a day?
Water is one of the best things to put in your body, try the eight by eight directives. This policy is now part of our thought, we hear about it everywhere. Some tell us to drink 8x8 to have a fit and healthy lifestyle. If there is any substance to this idea we should look into it for our own benefit.
Who started the 8 glasses of water recommendation? Did the commercial based industries begin this rule? Where is the evidence to support this study? Do we automatically drink eight classes of water without question?
Industries represented
Whole industries nowadays have built around the importance of increasing your water intake, and these industries have taken scores of forms, because of this we need to take a closer look to see what this is all about. These industries represent the following;
- Weight loss
- Water bottles
- Cleansing diets
- Health industry
- Beauty industry
Water can not be patented so maybe this is a contributing factor. However all this still doesn't answer the question of the source of the 8×8 glasses of water policy, recommendation. This subject requires response. However don't misinterpret the content of this article; drinking more water is the best gift you could give yourself. Science says our bodies are principally made from H20.
Go online and do some checking.
What you are lightly to see is website after website advocating the importance of drinking eight glasses of water a day. However no evidence is included to affirm these claims, in fact an article written by professionals and entitled 'Just Add Water" conducted an extensive research to find a study to validate this claim, none was found.
Should drinking more water be part of your daily routine?
The truth is most of us, do not drink sufficient water. Caffeine drinks form the base of our consumption.
- Coffee or tea
- Soda based drinks
- Alcohol
- Milk (flavored)
- Fruit juice (sweetened)
Make water the most significant element that enters your body and take pleasure in better health. Unfortunately the 8X8 (240ml) glasses of water for a 24- hour period have no scientific bases.
Which is the best water bottle?
If you have decided to be part of the new thinking of increasing your water consumption, there are some more things to take into consideration. But why be concerned about this?
