When shall I stop grieving?
Blue blanket. Clutched firmly in his little hand, dragged across the hardwoods. Inseparable, these two securities.He grew. The blanket shrunk, tattered...didn't vanish...entirely.
Replaced by pharmaceuticals. One hell of a replacement.
Becoming his adult blanket, his pacifiers. Costly, deadly, coated blankets.
Which now have rent, ripped his family apart.
Beautiful boy, beautiful what might have been.
Lost forever in that world...of blanketed pharmaceuticals. I weep in silent grief.
I hesitated to post this. However, if it reaches only one, only one soul...and makes a difference...then I'm glad I took this step.
My writing, my son...soon to be 50...if he makes it.
I know a little boy who alcohol ended his pain. A tortured soul with many medical problems, he did not see twenty-eight. I pray he found peace he did not have on earth. Missed but always young, just look into his daughter's eyes.
I know alittle but he was only nephew not my son.
