Highchair or booster seat?
I am wondering what you all use for highchair or booster seat at the dinner table. I have a high chair but it is obnoxiously big and doesn't fold up. It just takes up alot of space. I also have a small booster seat for him but he is big for 16m old (tall and skinny) and seems like he'll topple out fairly easily. And the tray is SMALL too. So not a lot of room. I'm wondering if I should just use the highchair (we will have the room when we get in our new house in a couple months ) or just find another kind of booster seat or something that seems to fit him better? Or just a booster type that will come right up to the table w/ no tray. On our table we have these stupid scrolly patterns that go across to the other legs so a regular booster chair won't fit under the table when you push the chair in. So I was just wondering what you all used? Thanks!
We used a highchair for as long as we could. We just found a corner to stick it in between uses. When she was little we used the tray with the highchair to help stop the spills and messes that a little one can make. A highchair can really save your furniture esp during the "feeding myself stage". As she got older we took of the tray and lowered the chair to fit under the table so that she was still safely secured into the chair but sitting at the table with the family. We used our highchair for almost four years....we did eventually buy the booster seat but it didnt last very long...its not worth the trouble and the straps and fasteners ended up leaving marks on our chair and table.
