Using Manic Panic Hot Hot Pink on unbleached hair?
My hair is a natural red/strawberry blonde: http://tinypic.com/view.php?pic=e6at7d&s=4
on some days, it is a bit more red than the above picture
So my mom and I were talking, and she agreed that she was going to let me do the tips of my hair a subtle pink. We purchased Manic Panic Cotton Candy Pink Hair and tried to dye my tips twice, without bleaching it first. It gave my tips a soft glaze of a cinnaminy color for about an hour but my hair really did not look any different at all.
We decided to try a darker shade of pink, thinking it would show up lighter than examples but would still show up. We bought the amplified formula as well. The color is Hot Hot Pink. I know that you can use this color in medium/dark blonde hair but it is hard to find any information about using hair dye on strawberry blonde or red hair. What kind of results should I expect using this without bleaching and leaving it on for 25-30 minutes?
I have that exact same color, and it doesn't show up very well on anything but bleached hair, I tried.
And the color fades super quickly, I would know.
Lastly, it's kind of purplish, make sure its what you want, it wasn't what I wanted.
