How do you feel about used baby gear?

I bought a used good condition, swing at a thrift store. And, I feel pretty bad. Like worried if its safe for my baby. I called the company to make sure their weren't any recalls on it. Which there isn't, so I'm ok on that. But I still have that nagging feeling. I was thinking about buying a pack and play off of craigslist too. Since we don't have much money, and I'm trying to save as much as I can for the more important stuff. Like a crib, car seat, etc.

♦ On most things I'm all for buying used in good condition baby things. I do the same thing check recall list to make sure, but I also clean anything I get real well (Disinfect) or wash it. Babies grow so fast and go thru so much stuff the first couple years, I'm all for saving a little money where you can. If its in good shape, and you can clean it, then go for it! Don't feel bad.
